Hi everyone, this is Dr. Frank Hu from River Dental. Recently a lot of my patients have been asking me about Invisalign. And so I’m gonna be making a series of videos to answer just the most frequently asked questions. And the first of which is, what is it?
So firstly, Invisalign is just one type of aligner, and there’s several different types, all of which work in a very similar manner, so, I use several different types myself. But this is what it looks like. So it’s like this. And in a nutshell, it’s a series of these clear plastic aligners, that over time straighten your crooked teeth.
So as you can see, these aligners, they’re mostly transparent, which means that unless someone is standing very close to you, they probably won’t be able to see it. And the other great thing about aligners is that you can take them out during eating and brushing, which means that it doesn’t really stop you from brushing your teeth, or it doesn’t stop you from eating most normal foods.
